Telephone Drawing
The first person receives a pre-drawn picture and “draws’ it on the next person’s back,
who “draws” it on the next person’s back and so on.
The last person who receives the “drawing” then puts it on paper.
Compare the beginning picture to what was drawn at the end.
Pudding
Fun
Items: 6 garbage bags, 2 blind folds, 2 pudding cups, 2 spoons, camera,
place to wash up
Ask for two volunteers. Don’t tell them what they are going to do, just lead them step by step.
Make a dress out of the garbage bag (to protect their clothes), sit facing each other.
Cover legs and floor with remaining garbage bags.
Blindfold them.
Put pudding cup in one hand and spoon in the other. Now feed each other 4 spoonfuls. Yum. Yum.
Probably need to cut it off before that, but it gives them a reason to co-operate a bit.
Make sure pictures are taken so the volunteers can also enjoy the fun later.
Slow
Boat to China
One person sits on a chair facing the group. That person begins by saying
I’m going on a slow boat to China, and with me I will bring...” Then
they say something and the object of the game is for the kids in the group to
guess what the “rule” is, then think of something they could bring.
For example, the first clue might be “sunglasses”. In this case, the rule could be you must bring something you wear, or it could also be a summer item. If the player guesses a correct object, they go sit beside the person on the chair. Another rule could be you bring anything as long as it starts with the first letter of your name. Emma can bring an elephant. Julia can bring a jujube. Sam can bring a scarf, etc., etc...) A very sneaky one is where the leader does something physical which has nothing to do with the words themselves, such as while their hands are folded, anything is okay. When their hands are not folded, nothing anyone guesses will be allowed. There is no talking allowed between plays, only between the leader and the individual player that has been chosen to guess. Once all the players have figured out the rule, a new round can begin. Usually the person who was the first to figure out the rule gets to lead the newt round, if they can think of a rule. If not, another way of choosing a leader can be used.

Night Watchman
One person is chosen as the “night watchman”. The others are burglars in a building.
The lights are turned off and the burglars move around and change positions.
When the lights are turned are turned on, they must freeze.
The watchman strolls around and tries to catch the buglers that are moving. When the watchman’s back is turned, buglers change positions but try not to get caught. When the watchman catches someone moving, that person becomes the new watchman.
There are a lot of different versions of this game and most kids know one another or another. The rules should be decided before play starts so that there are no arguments later on.
